Produced in collaboration with The Bloc’s internal production studio and Brazilian creative studio The Youth with award-winning sound studio Jamute.

In MAKING SPACE, Ingrid Silva—ballerina, activist, and new mother—talks about growing up in Brazil, her unlikely entry into the world of professional ballet, confronting the challenges of being a Black ballerina in a predominantly White space, becoming a new mom in turbulent times, and turning to activism and advocacy. Shot on film in New York City, directed by Indian-American filmmaker Sheena Matheiken, and edited by Sophie Solomon from Final Cut.
